A 5-week pathway for memoirs, how-to guides, and novels. You’ll lock your structure, format your interior in Atticus, design a clear, professional cover, upload to Amazon, and order a physical proof.
The Storybook Starter:
Picture-Based Track
A 5-week pathway for children’s books and fully illustrated titles. You’ll map words and images page by page, build your interior in Canva or InDesign, design a cover that reads well for kids and caregivers, upload to KDP, and order a physical proof.
The Two-Book Builder:
Dual Pathway
Built for multi-project creators who want to move a storybook and a text-based book forward at the same time. Over 5 weeks, you’ll develop, format, and prep both projects for Amazon KDP, with shared live sessions and separate materials for each book.
New Year Sprint Schedule
5 stages | 4 live weeks
Week 1: Prep (Self-Led)
Complete setup once for all paths: Amazon account, publishing name, Canadian ISBNs, and your details sheet. Gather your manuscript (Text) and artwork/pages plan (Picture-Book) if you’re exploring both.
Week 2: Build Your Pages
Picture-Book sets pages and exports a print-ready file; Text-Based formats clean pages in Atticus and exports a print-ready file. Your page count is locked for cover sizing.
Week 3: Cover & Proof
Create the wrap-around cover for your chosen path(s), upload files, pass Amazon’s file check, and order your author copy (proof). Breakouts cover picture art/placement vs. text-first spine/details.
Week 4: Author Page & Launch Kit
Claim your Author Page, refine your description and keywords, and prep a simple launch kit (3 posts + 1 email). Breakouts tailor tips for parents/educators (Picture-Book) or readers/genres (Text-Based).

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pay for the tools we’re using?
Some tools we use have their own fees. These are paid directly to the companies, not to ENVSN Academy. Most students spend a small amount overall, and several options are free or one-time purchases. I guide you through everything before you commit to anything.
How much do the tools cost?
Here’s a quick breakdown:

- Atticus (for novels): One-time payment of $147 USD, includes lifetime updates, no subscription.
Publishing:
- Ownr (business registration): Around $49 CAD + tax, and only needed if you’re newly registering your publishing name.
Design (Covers for Novels and Whole Book for Picture-Based):
- Canva: Free or Pro ($16.99 CAD/mo, optional).
- Adobe InDesign: Subscription model (optional for advanced formatting).
Proof copies:
- Amazon KDP charges print + shipping when you order your author copy.

Can I use a free email instead of setting up a custom domain?
Yes. A free Gmail address works perfectly for publishing and KDP. If you want a branded email with your own domain, I offer a simple add-on option where I set it up for you.
What if I’m starting this late? Can I still catch up?
Absolutely. Prep Week is self-paced, and you can complete the setup anytime before the first live class. Everything is step-by-step, and I’ll help you fill in any missing pieces during our live session.
Will I be overwhelmed?
No 😌 the entire program is built to reduce overwhelm.
Prep Week breaks everything into small steps. The next four weeks are guided, structured, and designed so you always know exactly what to do next.
When will I order my proof copy?
You will order your proof in Week 4 or Week 5, depending on your track. It’s built into the process so you won’t miss the deadline.
Will I really be published by the end of the course?
Yes. If you follow the weekly steps and complete your assignments, your book will be uploaded to Amazon KDP and your proof copy ordered by the end of Week 5.
Are the live sessions recorded? Will I get access to the replays?
Yes. Every live class is recorded and uploaded to your course portal within 24 hours. If you miss a session (or want to revisit something) you’ll have full replay access throughout the program. You can follow along at your own pace and never fall behind.
